ABOUT

My name is Agathe.

After studying textile design in London and then at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, I gained experience at fashion houses and brands such as Jacquemus, where I developed an approach to clothing guided by fabric, detail, and storytelling.

In 2025, burnout forced me to slow down. To create in a different way. To seek out a more intimate, more instinctive space. That’s how I discovered nail art and the world of press-on nails. I started out on my own, experimenting, testing, and playing around. Then I trained with Lili Creuk and became a nail artist.

Very quickly, however, I began to feel a sense of resistance. The pace, the constraints, the repetition, my creativity felt stifled by it all. I realized then that this way of working might not be for me, and I decided to return to my first love.

It was this realization that gave rise to Sotola.
A space at the intersection of nail art and fashion. A vision in which nails are no longer just a detail, but precious objects, designed like jewelry. Stand-alone pieces, crafted with the same creative rigor as luxury clothing or accessories.
